Instructions

  1. Prepare the noodles and broccoli: Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain thoroughly. In the meantime, steam or blanch the broccoli florets just until they turn bright green and remain crisp-tender to retain vibrant color and fresh flavor.
  2. Mix the sauce and chicken: In a large bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth. Fold in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese to create a creamy, flavorful base.
  3. Combine all ingredients: Add the cooked noodles and broccoli into the soup mixture, stirring gently to evenly distribute all ingredients for a perfect balance in every bite.
  4. Assemble in a baking dish: Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly on top, then optionally add breadcrumbs for a crunchy, golden brown crust once baked.
  5. Bake until bubbly and golden: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the breadcrumbs are golden. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving to help it set.
