Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (whole, 2%, or milk alternative)
  • 4 oz white chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp freeze-dried raspberries, crushed into powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tsp sugar (optional, adjust to taste)

Optional Toppings

  • Whipped cream
  • Extra freeze-dried raspberry powder
  • White chocolate shavings
  • Fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Warm the Milk: In a small saucepan, gently warm your milk over medium-low heat to prepare the base for melting white chocolate and infusing raspberry flavor. Avoid boiling to preserve texture.
  2. Blend the Freeze-Dried Raspberries: Use a blender or food processor to crush the freeze-dried raspberries into a fine powder, ensuring even distribution of color and tartness.
  3. Add White Chocolate and Raspberry Powder: Slowly stir chopped white chocolate and raspberry powder into the warm milk. Keep the heat low and stir continuously until the chocolate melts completely and the drink becomes uniformly pink and smooth.
  4. Flavor with Vanilla and Sweeten if Needed: Add vanilla extract for warmth. Taste and add sugar carefully if you prefer a sweeter drink, stirring well to dissolve.
  5. Serve Warm with Optional Toppings: Pour the pink hot chocolate into mugs. Top with whipped cream, extra raspberry powder, white chocolate shavings, or fresh raspberries as desired for extra indulgence and presentation flair.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate for a richer, creamier texture.
  • Heat milk slowly without boiling to prevent scorching or curdling.
  • Freeze-dried raspberries are preferred over fresh or jam to avoid diluting the drink.
  • Stir constantly during melting to ensure even blending and prevent sticking.
  • Adjust sweetness last by tasting before adding sugar.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container up to 2 days and reheat gently on low heat.
  • Do not freeze the drink as dairy and raspberry powder do not freeze well.
